What we should expect of gaming in the future
The progress that gaming has had over the last two decades has been amazing and it seems like the future of gaming will continue to amaze fans from all over the world. The concept of playing a game through a console is definitely nothing new but developers are starting to push the envelope and create games and consoles that were deemed “futuristic” in the past. Consoles like the Xbox Kinect are now able to allow the gamer to play games without a controller and developers could have never imagined this in the 90′s. The beauty of gaming is that developers will continue to improve and build off of what they already have and who knows what the future of gaming has in store for gamers.
Which big gaming companies will stick around?
The current big companies that are in the gaming industry are Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft. All three of these big names were able to release consoles that have pretty much changed how gaming and entertainment is brought to everyone’s homes. However, trying to figure out if these three companies will stick around for the future can be very difficult but most will say that all three will be here for the long run. Another possibility is that another big company will try and enter the gaming world and give them a run for their money. The future of gaming is looking very bright because of the fact that gaming will always be a big part of the entertainment industry.
What’s the next gaming concept?
Xbox and the Kinect were able to introduce gaming without any controllers and the Wii was able to introduce wireless controllers that allows the gamer to be more active. This was a big introduction to the gaming world and it was widely accepted as one of the best consoles of its time. Playstation and Sony was more focused on providing better graphics and also the ability to play Blu-Ray discs. Every console had something that they felt like would be able to change the face of gaming and they will continue to do so as the years go by. With new concepts coming out every few years, developers are afraid that they might soon run out of new ideas.
What genres will be popular?
Every year, it seems like different genres are more popular than others and this is also evident for different generations. Trying to guess the future of gaming genres can be very fun because of how this tends to change over the years. It is safe to say that sports games will be here for a very long time but it is the other genres that might begin to fade away. For instance, puzzle games are beginning to fade away because of the rise of the internet and how games are now easy to play through the world wide web.
The gap between online games and gaming consoles.
With the amazing progress that internet games have made, some may wonder whether or not this can close the gap between the two. Online games are more affordable, easier to access and sometimes even be more fun. However, internet games will most likely never close the gap because of the fact that playing on a game console just brings a different kind of entertainment. The games that these consoles are very different from what anyone can get on the internet and the fact that gamers are playing on a keyboard can really hold it back from taking over. Online games are very fun but they will most likely have their very own niche of fans.

One of the concepts that might appear in the near future is the ability to have the screen on a pair of glasses and the player will be able to control things with their mind. As crazy as this may sound, the possibilities are endless and this can be something that can be possible in the future. Most gamers were not able to predict that they can play games without a controller and all they needed was the movements of their bodies. However, this is exactly what the future of gaming has in store for gamers from all over the world.
The future pricing for gaming
Will games and consoles continue to be pricey or will they start to become more affordable? Most consoles are not for everyone because of the fact that they can be priced at around $400-600 and this is often too much for a lot of families. The future of gaming consoles will most likely become more affordable to help reach out to even more families out there. Having it priced at such a premium price range may seem like a good idea to keep it for just the higher class but this is not a great idea for gaming companies. The best option is to lower the price down and make sure that more people are able to afford the consoles and games.
Overall, gaming is headed towards the right direction but they definitely need to make the right changes and improvements to ensure that gamers are always looking forward to something new. The problem that a lot of developers might have is that they are running out of ideas and concepts that will entice gamers to keep buying the new consoles. If the future of gaming has hit a complete stop, then people will have no option but to stick with what they have now. However, this is very unlikely because gaming is a multi-billion dollar industry that will continue to grow and if this means that they need to spend more money on developing a new concept, these developers will be more than willing to take action.
My review about the current state of Bungie’s game Destiny
American video game developer Bungie is best known to the current generation of gamers for their massive hit Halo released on Xbox in 2001. And now they’re back, and starting to gradually unveil details about their new and upcoming title, Destiny, which is to be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in late 2013, supposedly. There has also been confirmed rumors that the series will be published in multiple installments, with typically two years in-between of each release, topped with occasional DLC content that the players can purchase if they deem it necessary and worth the extra few bucks. And given the obvious switchover from the current generation of gaming consoles to the next one – namely “Xbox 720″ and “PlayStation 4″, players are in a sense tricked to upgrade their gaming systems, if they wish to fully enjoy what Destiny has to offer in all four installments.
Game’s concept art and details of the story were leaked in last November, giving players a brief idea of what to expect. Basically the story might feel a bit Halo-ish, as there is once again intergalactic alien spaceships and the like. However, this time the players will take the control of ‘knights’ that are trained to protect the Last City – final frontier of humanity. Luckily this time there’s one more alien species around, and albeit nobody really knows anything about them, they have proved to be protecting the human race – at least for now. This spaceship – dubbed as “The Traveler” – lies above the Earth, practically just standing still and watching over the mankind. As no details are known as of yet, we can only speculate what type of extra-terrestrial, intergalactic prophets these aliens are, and what part do they really play in all this.
Destiny could be considered a mixed breed of Halo and Star Wars franchise, with the aim of being targeted for a broader audience than Halo series, that was designed especially the adult games in mind. And as the current trend is, social interactions are going to be implemented deep into the core of the game, so players can expect that they need to team up with friends both old and new to be able to accomplish all the tasks presented to them in Last City. This, however, still doesn’t confirm Destiny being MMO type of game, although it highly points that way.
While Bungie is lately better known for their FPS games, it’s good to bear in mind that they’re also the masterminds behind Myth and Pathways into Darkness, meaning that their expertise doesn’t only lie in FPS genre. So while the social aspect that has been thrown at us clearly tells us that there will be at least some MMO elements present in the game, could also mean that we’re looking at some mix of FPS and MMO. Such mix would not be unheard of, but it’s still not exactly any mainstream type currently. However, with such feature rich and beautiful environment / universe they’re once again creating, players could expect something breathtakingly good. Social elements combined with vast, open world has been a hit recipe for games like World of Warcraft, and thus just switching over to first person shooter would make sense.
Destiny, the most anticipated game from Bungie – Updated!
Destiny is a new game by Bungie. Few hints about this new game is given in the 20th anniversary documentary of Bungie. It can be said that it is a game-changer just like the Halo series. Some photographs and information has been leaked (click here for a in-depth-review of the official pictures).
Destiny is already trending in communities and in the web. People are speculating various aspects of the Bungie Game. It should be a massive multiplayer game and it is to be believed that this new project of Bungie, could obtain Teen/PEGI 16 as ESRB rating. After an advertising agency posted some interesting facts about the game, Bungie posted several pictures as a feedback of their new project (click here for far more pictures). Destiny is particularly a scientific fiction game. Also it is an action shooter and it can be assumed that there will be at least a series of four games in the pipeline. It is also confirmed that it won’t be a MMO game. The game is for Xbox 360, Xbox 720 and Play Station. The first part will be released in the fall of 2013 followed by the rest in fall of 2015, 2017, and 2019.
Destiny is one of the most ambitious games. It consists of a rich universe with various colorful characters and a world of full of fantasy. It is not just a video game, they believe it will come as a huge entertaining package (likely a franchise). Destiny is designed as highly social game with an open-world exploration.
Posted pictures are showing some humans, some aliens, the earth and a spaceship. According to the information about Destiny, the story of the game will start seven hundred years ahead from now, in the very last human city on our earth, in a solar system that is responsible for ruining man’s golden age. In this game there will be a massive white round mysterious spaceship hanging above our heads. The origin and the destination of this spaceship are completely unknown. The only known thing is about the spaceship is that it comes as a protector of the earth. The mysterious space ship is termed as “The Traveler”.
Some monster aliens will appear from different edges of the earth to ruin the last human city. The player will be acting as a “knight” who will have to save the humanity and the rest of the earth. During this task the player should discover the origin of the monster and destroy them.
By seeing the weapons which are showed in the posted pictures it can be said that advanced technologies are used. Also there is a tank like shooting weapon and an alien can also be seen in the pictures. There are four eyes and some pipes which are used to breathe (To see more pictures, click here).
This game is for fun-loving and it can be accessed by all. The aim of this project is to create a tangible and deep universe. It is a game designed for the inner seven-year old child of any player. The game Destiny is like a Mythic adventure.
Halo 5 News – Leaked Material & Release Year
All right let’s go ahead and start off with the biggest that we have, which is from the Microsoft Studios themselves, which are the people developing the Halo franchise. In the picture you can see a real screenshot from a video clip, which has been played on G4 TV and basically we can see one of those “Kinect is the future”, “Xbox is so amazing”… videos. It kind of reminded us from the movie from the 90ties, called “The Smart House”, in which your house chances to different settings. It’s kind of cool, but that’s not what we’re here for. So basically they’re going through all the tests that they’re prepared and on one test, they’re showing of some Xbox slides and there’s a clear icon, which is showing a “5″. If you look closer at the image, you can see the 5 has the typical Halo font style and that’s a clear indicator for Halo 5. So we can say that’s completely official, it’s coming directly from the Microsoft team.
But the problem is that was posted back in 2011 even before Halo 4 came out. So people are kind of split 50/50 on this. Some people think that’s actually the logo for Halo 5 and they hope that Microsoft wants to tease us and this is an Easter egg. The other people think that was just one of this another showcases out of possible games for the Kinect.
We don’t know what we should think of this. The logo looks kind of weird, we mean take a closer look to it. It looks very unprofessional and we don’t think the “5″ is going to the public in this state. But either way, it’s Halo 5 and it’s confirmed!
Moving on to the next big rumor and that is if it’s going to release it next year or it comes out for the new consoles (Xbox 720)? This is a hard question. Based on history and experience we would say that Halo 5 is coming out along the new consoles, because it’s a really great, if not the best launch title for the next generation of consoles. But this whole new concept of releasing new games each year, like the Call of Duty series. We mean most of the biggest game series are relying on this concept. For example: Battlefield, Assassins Creed, and Call of Duty. And when we look from a marketing standpoint it would be a clever idea, that Microsoft is joining that race.
When we have to put our money on it, we would suggest that Halo 5 is coming along the new consoles. It’s just a huge reason to stand in the line to get the new consoles.

So the last rumor isn’t really about Halo 5, but there is a rumor floating around, started by Official Xbox Magazine, that the Halo 2 remake is coming soon.

Now this would be amazing, if it’s the truth! Probably the would pop out anywhere from next year and 2014, which is 10 years away from Halo 2’s release exactly and if this is anything like the last Halo remake than this would be around a couple of months before the next game is going to release, which helps support our 2014 theory and also it would get an all new Multiplayer engine (Probably the Halo 4 engine).
Remember that all these are educated guesses and none of these have been fully confirmed yet and there won’t be any releasing any official info’s too, because were just in the first release weeks from Halo 4. We just have to rely on rumors until we get some legit news.
Bungie’s Destiny was already released to public in 2009 with Halo 3: ODST
The next big masterpiece from Bungie called Destiny came out last week with huge details about the
next video game. After the leak Bungie officially showed their concept-arts & information about various

A very, very attentive player realized while playing Halo 3: ODST that there was already a hint for the
next anticipated game! The majority of the other thousands of players have all passed this spot in the
game without knowing that, there’s a hint for Destiny.
The hint shows a text saying “Destiny Awaits”. Below the text there’s the earth with a moon-like object.
As we now that’s the mysterious alien spaceship. The spaceship comes without bad intends. It acts like a
protector. It is called “the traveler”.
Destiny takes place several hundred years ahead from us. In the future the majority of all cities are
destroyed and the player dives into the role human, living on one of the last cities on earth. The player
has to fight against aliens. Beside the player there’s the gigantic alien spaceship, which is helping the
human.
Halo 3: ODST is a first-person-shooter developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft. It has been
released on September 22, 2009 and is exclusively available for the Xbox 360.
In-depth analysis of the new Destiny pictures
Hey folks, Destiny was just leaked some days ago and now there are plenty of new images about new video game from Bungie. They’re official. But consider that they’re all concept images and doesn’t represent the actual game. Read on to know what we think of them.
This image shows the official Destiny image. In the background we can detect the earth and a huge spaceship from the visitors and not from the aliens (the spaceship acts as a protector of the last city) It looks similar like a moon. We mean the spaceship nearly has its size.When you look closely at the earth you can discover that this isn’t a 100% copy of our earth. We know that the video game is playing 700 hundred years ahead of us, so we can suggest that there are going to be some plate tectonic changes.
At the bottom are also the logos with the supported gaming platforms and the developers. Currently the game is supposed to be played on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. We’re not sure if the game is going to support the next-gen consoles, but we can expect to see the game in stores next year and the new consoles are also rumored to be available for purchase, by the next year. But we predict that the first version of the games is coming only for the current consoles. Destiny 2 will be available for the next-gen consoles for sure.
The developers are going to be Bungie and Activision. We all know Bungie from the Halo series and Activision from the Call of Duty series. We think that these 2 are going to be a nice combination. We’re still thinking of that Destiny is going the be a first-person-shooter-MMO. Bungie and Activision would be perfect for that challenge.
Here is another Shot from space, on which we can see the gigantic spaceship. It could be a portable little planet, but we can clearly detect at the bottom of the spaceship that it’s build from a metal-like material. When the visitors can build such huge spaceship, then think about how huge the spaceship-harbor must be to build such a vehicle/weapon.
In this picture we can see some aliens and some of their weapon technology. Obviously that machine in the background has to be a tank-like weapon system. Don’t forget the creature sitting on it back 
When we look closer at the alien in the front we see four eyes and some pipes which are leading to his head to breathe. Their weapons look very advanced, but ok, they’re 700 years ahead of us. In the left middle of the picture there is also a drone, which is following them. Maybe a similar drone like we now it from Halo 4?
This slide is showing us some basic information, about what Destiny is going to be. Basically it says how ambitious they’re working on Destiny so that it’s going to be an awesome game. Bungie also says that they’re aiming to build a huge franchise like the big brother Star Wars. This is going to be very difficult and intensive. We mean, Star Wars is HUGE. It has a great and very long history and lots of very deep characters. To bring out an environment to be similar like Star Wars is difficult and very time-consuming. But lets wait and see what they’re going to develop and bring to us.
The picture also mentions the sentence “highly social” and “open exploration”. Doesn’t it sounds like an MMO? And the symbiosis of Bungie and Activision hints for a fist-person-shooter. Fascinating…
This picture tells us some information about the story of Destiny. Basically that it’s going to play on one of the last cities on earth. It also mentions the protector-moon which source is unknown. Maybe it’s like Fringe and a Walter Bishop of the future has builded the Spaceship and has teleported it back to this timeline
Here we can see some humans. It look like that they’re got a preference for capes. In the background we see a human, dressed like a storm trooper. So we can interpret that behind the red cape is also a storm-trooper equipment hidden. It also looks like that they need breathing masks. One reason could be that the earths air is so contaminated, that they have to filter is first. The weapons look very interesting. They look like long snipers, but we aren’t sure about that.
Destiny – The next big project from Bungie
A leak about the new big project from Bungie just appeared on the web and the community is going crazy, speculating about different aspects of the Game.
But first things first.
An advertising company just posted some interesting new facts about the project from Bungie called Destiny. As a result to the community feedback, Bungie posted several images, which are showing aliens, humans, the earth and a spaceship. These are all concept arts and don’t represent the actual game.
The source said, that the game is going to play 700 hundred years ahead from us on one of the last human cities. Not the fact, that nearly all cities are gone is bad sign, but there’s also a gigantic spaceship shaped like a ball or a moon. Nobody knows from where the spaceship is coming from or rather than what is planning to do with the humans (Sounds a little like the movie: The Day the Earth Stood Still) Now to our role when playing the game. We are going to dive into the role of the “Space-Cop” which is going to discover the mysterious object.
Now some of us are thinking about what type of game Destiny is going to be. In the leaked document there is a phrase which is saying: “social at its core”. Could that mean, that Destiny is going to be an MMO for consoles? Or is Destiny a first-person shooter, like we know it from Bungie? Or maybe its a combination of both types, a first-person-mmo? The next question to solve, is on which platform the game is planned to release on. On one picture the Xbox 360 and the PS3 are labeled. It could also be possible, that Destiny is coming for the generation of console like the “Xbox 720″ or the “PlayStation 4″.
